A smaller, cheaper, more fuel-efficient Hummer sport-utility goes on sale this spring, and it’s exactly why General Motors bought the legendary off-road brand in 1999.
The 2006 Hummer H3, a mid-size SUV with a price tag around $35,000, goes on sale in late May, said Susan Docherty, Hummer’s general manager. The vehicle drew crowds while on display this month at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
